Bremerton Fast Ferry Saturday Service Has Ended for 2026
No Bremerton Fast Ferry service runs on Saturdays after Sept. 26, 2026. Compare the WSF alternatives for Bremerton, Kingston and Southworth.

Not now. The Bremerton Fast Ferry’s last scheduled Saturday of the 2026 season was September 26. Kitsap Transit runs Saturday service only from May through September, and its 2026 service notice identifies September 26 as the final Saturday.
The same seasonal limit applies to the Kingston and Southworth fast ferries. With the September 28 service change, none of the three routes has Saturday sailings.
That means a fall or winter Saturday outing requires a Washington State Ferries route instead. These car ferries also accept walk-on passengers and bicycles, but they do not all leave from downtown Seattle.
Which ferry should you take on Saturday?
| Destination | Saturday alternative | Important difference |
|---|---|---|
| Bremerton | Washington State Ferries from Colman Dock in downtown Seattle | Direct trip; approximately 60 minutes instead of 30 minutes on the fast ferry |
| Kingston | Washington State Ferries from Edmonds | No direct downtown Seattle boat; first travel north to Edmonds |
| Southworth | Washington State Ferries from Fauntleroy in West Seattle | No direct downtown Seattle boat; first travel to the Fauntleroy terminal |
For Bremerton, the fall 2026 WSF schedule lists daily departures in both directions and an approximate 60-minute crossing. The WSF boat uses Colman Dock, while Kitsap Transit’s passenger-only boats use adjacent Pier 50. Check the terminal signs rather than joining the first ferry line you see.
For Kingston, use the Edmonds–Kingston schedule. For Southworth, use the Fauntleroy–Southworth schedule. Build the added trip to Edmonds or West Seattle into your day; neither substitute is a simple Pier 50 departure.
Weekday Bremerton service also has a long gap
The Bremerton Fast Ferry still runs Monday through Friday, but its schedule became much thinner on September 1. It dropped from 20 to 13 daily round trips when temporary state funding expired. Kitsap Transit’s current timetable has six morning departures from Seattle between 5:20 and 8:40 a.m., then none until 2:25 p.m. The final Seattle departure is 7:40 p.m., and the approximate crossing time is 30 minutes.
If a weekday outing falls inside that midday gap or returns after the last fast ferry, use the WSF Seattle–Bremerton boat rather than assuming another passenger-only sailing will appear. Compare the two services before committing to a departure in our Bremerton Fast Ferry vs. Washington State Ferry guide.
Before leaving, recheck both operators for same-day alerts. For a relaxed day trip, choose the return sailing first and give yourself a terminal buffer; our Seattle ferry-day planning guide explains that approach.
